We teach and facilitate the implementation of Policy Governance®. Governing with Policy Governance is a discipline that must be learned. Boards that use it become better with diligence, study and practice.
The articles here are intended to be observations from the field. I have tried to write on the topics that are frequently raised by clients.
As we set up this blog, we are not sure how it will evolve. So far it seems to be more of a collection of articles than a log. So I’ve created the Contents tab at the top to list the titles as links. New articles will pop up when I have the chance to write. I find the blogging software facilitates the process of writing and posting to the web. The articles are never really finalized. I find that I’m editing them as I think of something else. So, check back.
New articles can appear anywhere on the Contents page, so to see the recent additions, look at the Recent Posts in the sidebar. The most recent article is always at the top.
If you find the material here useful, it would help others to find this site if you would provide a link here or to Governing.ca from your web site or blog. Thanks.
At the moment the site is not accepting comments. If you have some comments or questions, I’d love to hear them. Until we figure out whether to have comments, if you would like to write to us, the email is: governing at ballantyne dot com. Please remove the spaces, and replace the words “at” and “dot.” Begin the subject of your email with: About the Governing blog. Thanks, that’s to avoid our spam filters. If you are reading this, I’d be interested in hearing from you.
Policy Governance® is a registered mark of Dr. John Carver, the author of the model of governance discussed at this site.
